Here's a simple project to keep you warm on those cold winter days. Enjoy!
This scarf is simple to create and extremely versitile. Once you've chosen a color pallet ( I chose different shades of white and ivory and some maroon thread), gather together different types of fabrics. I chose a few different laces, some chiffon, and thin cotton. I chose one large piece (5 1/2 ft. x 1 ft) to be the "base" piece and added from there. I first added side sections the same length, then various other pieces of shorter fabric to sew on in various places throughout the scarf. I chose to top stitch each piece with a zig zag stitch, giving it a messy look. Once I sewed on all of the fabric pieces, I top stitched all along the hem, leaving some fabric to fray.
I have a feeling I'm going to be wearing this scarf a lot in the next few months. Have you made any projects for the cold season yet?
