This was one of those wait and see projects. Well, I waited, and I saw. And now I think I'll make a set of boot accessories for every pair I own. The best part is that this project isn't permanent, so you have the option to wear them with your favorite boots as often or as little as you like. Take a look if you'd like to make a set yourself..
Supplies: Different materials to put onto your boots. I chose lace, fabric, leather cord, chain, & fabric ribbons. Necklace hook.Pantry Supplies: Scissors, hot glue gun, needle and thread.
Begin by cutting out pieces of material that fit around the front of your boot. I started with a thick lace as base. Once you've chosen and cut all the materials, hot glue each layer together. Then, take a thick piece of fabric and wrap and stitch it around each end. You'll want to attach a chain at each end. I did this by braiding two strands of leather cord and chain so that the chain was already attached to the ends. You can attach the chain to just the ends of the accessory if you don't want it showing in the front. Lastly, place it over the top of your boot!
*Tip* You'll definitely want this to be snug so that it doesn't fall down when you're walking. I wanted mine to appear loose, so I made sure one of the materials was tighter than the others (I chose the lace) so that it would be snug on the boot, and all the other materials could hang loosely without falling down.
If you decide to tackle this project, I'd love to see what you come up with! Hope you're having a wonderful Thursday.
P.S. Thank you for all of the sweet words and genuine support in regard to yesterday's post. I'm truly so thankful for all of my readers and hope to encourage you all as much as you've encouraged me.
