We're back in our neck of the woods. It's good to be home, though I can't help but wish we were still out by the ocean. I started growing accustomed to sleeping in, lying on the beach, and not having a single responsibility calling my name. But all vacations must come to an end. Thankfully, this trip allowed me to bring back a much needed, hardy dose of refreshing inspiration.
As I mentioned in posts past, this trip was to celebrate our one year anniversary. It's still hard for me to fathom that it's already been a year since we were wed. Marriage itself is a bit hard for me to fathom, honestly. The fact that two people decide to sacrifice what's necessary in order to coalesce with one another for the rest of their existence. And not only do so, but desire to do so. Not implying that everything is picture perfect, but that their desire to make it work outweighs the obstacles. It's quite extraordinary; beautiful really.
Now.. to catch up on all those emails.. ;)
Hope your Thursday is going swell.
p.s. This is the song I walked down the aisle to. I thought it might be appropriate, considering the occasion.
