This seems to be my motto the past few days. Over the weekend I photographed the last wedding I have until after Christmas. I've had a wedding almost every weekend since June, so it's a strange feeling to not have any official plans for the upcoming weekend. It feels nice. My body is telling me loud and clear it's time to slow down a bit, and I'm happily listening. While I've still got a lot to do on my plate with editing/blogging/emailing etc. etc. etc., it's nice that for the next few weeks I can take it at a much slower pace and not feel like I'm trying to keep my head above water. Breaks are good. Relaxing and rejuvenating are good for the soul. Pushing yourself forward is a great way to find success in whatever you're passionate about, but it's also just as important to listen to your body when it says enough is enough. So all that to say, I'm going to spend the rest of the day *finally* finishing my "I only have time to read you when I'm at the airport" book, cooking for the first time in forever (sorry about that, Josh), and taking my sweet time putting the final touches on one of my favorite weddings to date. Happy Wednesday, friends.
