If you read SK at all, you must know by now
that I've got a sweet tooth for summertime. I feel as if I almost become
obsessed with doing everything outside; an obsession Josh isn't particularly
partial to. ;) Summer time tends to seem so short; I just cannot afford to waste
a moment of its precious warmth.
Hence, I'm currently making my summer to-do
list. Here is a few that made the cut..
We have a small carnival that rolls in each summer that I won't let slip by me like it did last year.
A bit of climbing, bouldering, and cliff jumping.
Plus a few days out on the lake and possibly a canoe trip.
I guess just traveling in general really. We've got a few road trips planned out, though short, should be quite memorable.
I purchased a new bike a few months back and I'm on the verge of convincing Josh he's in need of a new one as well.
Roof top parties are something I'm dearly looking forward. We have a charming patio and rooftop, begging us to take advantage of it's open view with a few summer get-togethers.
And of course, summer nights at the drive-in movies.

ReplyDeleteGreat post, I also love summer but living with the heat in Malta can be pretty tough particularly due to the humidity! This summer I'm taking a short trip to Poland but most I will be working, saving and swimming as much as possible :)
ReplyDeleteAww I love how everything in here is so charming! ♥ I hope you'd consider going to places off the beaten track in the near future. The Philippines is a nice summer destination and is relatively cheap compared to, say for example, The Maldives or Bali or Phuket. Anyway, have an awesome summer!!! It's the best season for me :-)

Your Summer list looks absolutely fantastic, and quite adventurous. I don't plan to be doing any cliff jumping, but I love the idea of a canoe trip, roof top dinner and the carnival. I always look forward to Summer carnivals.

ReplyDeleteRoad trips are a must for summer and I find that mini ones are sometimes the best. For me it's also camping, picnics,midnight hikes, farmers markets and don't forget creekin'. Oh and bonfires. Ok so really just about everything.

It's seriously a perfect summer soundtrack song "hot sand on toes, cold sand in sleeping bags" is the opening line.. *summer swoon*

This looks so beautiful! It is winter down here in Australia so these images are making me so jealous! My plans for this period is a trip to the snow, apple picking in the mountains, snuggling on the couch and making lots of cups of tea. Can't wait until summer! x

ReplyDeleteFor the cliff jumping picture, I'm proud to say I've taken that plunge! It's the rock at Waimea Bay on Oahu. You should definitely make sure to do some cliff jumping this summer. It's kinda scary at the top, but once you go for it, it will leave you with a huge smile on your face!
