As of this weekend, my darling husband has informed me that he's taking us on a seaside, one year anniversary trip. I've been thrilled ever since my knowledge of the subject. Honestly, I couldn't sit still and kept hugging and kissing him. I'm sure he felt quite pleased by his sneaky accomplishment. :) On account of discovering our new bound adventure, I've been lusting over all things vacation. Here are a few things I might have to call my own before we head off to the beach...
Some pretty vintage luggage. I have a few already but a handful more could never hurt.
One can never have too many beach hats.
I've always wanted to create an art piece using postcards from our travels. It's something simple you don't mind displaying, verses a giant coffee table album filled with an endless amount of photos.
A boundless amount of dresses and shorts.
Hopefully I'll grab an underwater camera before we leave. Nothing fancy, just a simple disposable one for some imperfect, memory filled prints.
And lastly, a dose of inspiration from a photographer I stumbled upon awhile back. The colors of her photos are so relaxing and peaceful. I'm looking forward to these moments the most. Not a care in the world, just enjoying existence.
I'm also looking for the perfect swimsuit, so if you happen to know any good sites a gal could browse, I would be happy as a clam if you would be so kind as to leave a link. :)
Also, I'll be on the lookout for some new tunes for our trip. Here's a few I've found so far, and of course I had to share with you. :)
p.s. Congratulations, Sara!

How exciting!! Two bands that we've recently gotten into that we enjoyed listening to on our last travel adventure is Lost in the Trees. Their son "Garden" moves me to tears nearly every listen.
ReplyDeleteOh whoops, the other band is The Antlers, particularly the song "I don't Want Love" although i suppose that isn't very fitting for an anniversary trip haha.

ReplyDeleteJust went to the beach myself this past weekend and just spending a couple hours near the ocean is going to pull me through this long day back to work. I just ordered a swimsuit from Urban Outfitters. They have some cute vintage looking ones. I'm trying it out. I hope it looks good!
