Rose Petal Candle // Clean Living

Today's clean living project is a simple candle DIY. The fragrance of this candle is soft and soothing. I use this candle most during the morning while practicing yoga.

supplies:

rose petals
soy candle wax
lavender essential oil
wooden candle wick
glass jar
tooth pick or popsicle stick
cooking pot of water

Begin by putting a pot of water on the stove top on low.

Place the jar in the pot of water, and add a small amount of wax in the bottom of the jar. Once melted, place the candle wick at the base of the jar.

Next, place a layer of roses on top of the melted wax. With a tooth pick, arrange the flower petals onto the sides of the jar, using the wax to stick them to the glass.

Add more wax, a handful of rose petals, and 20 drops of desired essential oil.

Once completely melted, remove from the stove, and allow the wax to cool and harden.

  1. These photos are so lovely, Kinsey! I have to try this out- if the sense of calm I'll feel while burning this candle is similar to the sense of calm I feel looking at this post, I definitely need it in my life :)
