Hiker's Trail Mix // Clean Living

This weekend we are heading to Denver for New Years! Despite how cold it may be, we know we couldn't be in the beautiful CO without doing a little bit of hiking. I made this trail mix to carry with us for some extra energy while we explore the great outdoors.

I purchased all of these ingredients at our local health food store. Be sure to check all of the ingredients to make sure they are processed organically and don't contain any processed sugars. Below is the ingredient portions I used, but you can adjust the recipe to your liking.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup cranberries
1/4 cup dates
1/4 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup banana chips
1/2 cup yogurt covered almonds
3/4 cup walnuts
3/4 cup almonds
1 cup peanuts

Mix all the ingredients into a large bowl. Store in an air sealed bag or container. Enjoy!

  1. Due to it being the time of year when I think of New Years Resolutions this is perfect for my resolution to eat cleaner, and make more of my own food and experiment with it. So thank you, I will be trying this soon!

  2. A picture of health........I should say that I'll be doing the same, however, I fear I would not stick to it, even for a day.

  8. I love making my own trail mix to adjust it to my own tastes. Especially because 99% of them come with raisins, and I absolutely loathe those things.
