Tote Restyle Inspiration

I recently saw this bag online, and it inspired me to make a new bag for the upcoming season. With traveling back and forth for weddings this fall, it's nice to have a small tote to store books, journals, and craft supplies to pass the time on those long car and plane rides.

I made this tote by dipping the bottom and top of the tote in a mix of water and black dye, shifting the fabric back and forth so that the pattern would be uneven. I also used a large paint brush to add additional strokes of dye. Once the tote dried, I cut off the original straps and sewed on leather strips for straps.

This project takes only about 20 minutes of hands on time to make and is extremely customizable. Enjoy!
