A Weekend in Chicago.

This past weekend Josh and I took a visit to Chicago. He surprised me for my birthday with She & Him tickets, so we decided to make a whole weekend out of it. Like I mentioned in a previous post, Chicago is really special to Josh and me, but this weekend was even more special than I predicted. I made a point to have no work involved. No editing, no emails, and writing all my blog posts beforehand. Just a few days of no distractions with my main man, my best friend. I think the best cure for a busy schedule is taking off a few days and pretending like you have nothing else going on in the world. Feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the wedding season this summer.

  12. Love these. I have never been to Chicago, which is only ridiculous because I live in St. Paul. Not that far. I need to go!

  14. Ah! I love chicago. I got to spend a week there in January this year. I spent so long shopping it was ridiculous. We also got to spend a considerable amount of time with kids at schools.
I can't wait to go back again sometime!

  24. that first photo of chi-town is BANANAS. you captured the spirit & energy of the city perfectly…in one photo. but of course you did! i don't know if i ever told you that i actually lived in illinois for a couple of years…so chicago will always hold a special place in my heart.

  26. It's ALWAYS nice to unplug! Even when it's something you love, if you don't take a break you'll get burned out on it quickly. Thanks for posting! I love how these photos feel like something out of a dream...how do you achieve that effect? I love it. I'm writing lifeandsnapshots{dot}com and while it's technically an anything goes blog, I'm starting to gear it more toward photography.
