Exploring.

Exploring is in our bones. We have been exploring city after city, finding the most beautiful sites we've yet to witness. Just three days left, and we will be headed back home. Nothing is as refreshing to my soul than nature itself. These photos were taken in Colorado, on a back road with a beautiful field, wildlife, and mountains as far as we could see. We've been on a strict travel schedule, yet not at all in some sense. While traveling to our next destination, if we like a place on the way, we stop and explore. Sometimes those stops take ten minutes, sometimes they take two hours. This road was one of those stops. We were driving by and couldn't resist. This trip has been a good reminder that you don't always have to follow the plan, and winging it every now and again can cause you to stumble upon some beautiful things you might have just missed.

Hope you take some time this weekend to pause, and take a look around. You might just have some, though at first unnoticed, beautiful encounters.

  8. I wholeheartedly agree exploring is in our bones, and should be apart of our everyday lives. One thing I discovered about photography is that it kinda goes hand in hand with exploring, it also adds a certain romance to ones life.

  21. These pictures are beautiful!! And such a nice reminder that we dont always have to stick exactly to the plan, reminding us of an even greater reminder that God is in control and His plan is not always ours, so steering away from our plans are okay! Great post and i'm in love with your vest!!!

  25. My family and I had one of these times last week as we were driving through France on our way back home to Barcelona. We stopped and took pictures in a field of yellow flowers. We stopped and explored a castle. We stopped at the top of Pyrenees and jumped around in the melting snow. As i've gotten older, I've began to enjoy road trips so much more and being in the car has become part of my favorite part.

We live in a beautiful world.

  33. This is really off topic, but I was wondering what kind of eyeshadow you use. I love how natural you look and how your make-up merely highlights your natural beauty instead of taking center stage.
