Clean Living // Organic Body Spray

Confession: I don't normally wear perfume. It's not that I have anything against it, I just haven't found a scent that's "me" yet. I do enjoy having a body mist on hand, though, for a light, fresh scent that isn't overpowering. This time around, I made a lavender + vanilla body spray for the colder months and plan to make a citrus spray once spring rolls around.

 Here's how I did it:

Ingredients:
1/2 cup distilled water
2 tsp witch hazel
2 tsp essential oil (I used 1 tsp vanilla + 1 tsp lavender)
One spray bottle

This recipe is easy as pie. Simply add the ingredients to the spray bottle and shake well! I found this spray bottle at a local grocery store and spray painted it gold to give it a bit of character. I really love the soft, fresh scent it gives; planning on spraying the room with this scent next time I do yoga for a relaxing vibe.

  4. I wear Coach Legacy perfume. It reminds me of a grassy field, and has been "my" scent since the moment I discovered it. If you are looking, it may be "you" too as your photographs suggest you have the same affinity for grassy fields I do. It's why I fell in love with it in the first place, as wearing it takes me to that place :) It's sweet but subtle, nice for every day wear.

  6. In what form are you using witch hazel? It's originally an herb, right? Are you using witch hazel oil?

    Thanks for clarifying! :)

  16. I'm not much of a perfume wearer either, but I love making my own body spray with essential oils. Cedarwood, frankincense & bergamont is a combination I enjoy :)

  17. I do a few clean living things, I've been gradually changing things like using glass instead of plastic and things like that. But you are making me want to take it a step further and make my own lotions, soaps and sprays. I may have to do this little bundle you've featured.

    Thanks for the inspiration!
