Revamped Sweater DIY

I've found quite a few new sweaters this season, but most of them are a very basic base. This tutorial's all about taking a plain jane sweater and making it your own. Here's how I did it...

Supplies: fabric scraps, (particularly upholstery) sweater or cardigan, sewing machine, scissors.

Begin by cutting out different patterns to stitch onto the sweater. I created eight arrow ends, 2x7 inches, and one diamond shape for each side. Once you've cut out the pieces, pin them in a pattern onto the sweater. Lastly, top stitch them in place. A top stitch will give it a very messy look, allowing the ends to fray.

Hope your weekend ends on a lovely note.
